Ok Boys and girls I have spent a lot of SP to give you this review.
I have both RR and CR to proto level.
My choice so far is the RR.
RR
Pro: Excellent damage and range, great hip fire as well. Kinda choppy when the enemy is up close so you have to time it just right. Kill them before they can get within 20M
Cons: Charge up time, if you time it just right this does not matter.
CR
Pro: Great damage in CQC similar to that of an SMG
Cons: Burns through ammo quick range is ok, I noticed I had difficulty doing damage to ranged targets
So my suggestion go with RR for overall happiness. Both rifles have there weaknesses and strengths in the right environment. Go RR for Mid to Long open area combat and if its short to mid in CQC or city warfare my money is on the CR. Good luck everyone and have fun.

As a medium I have not been in a firefight as of yet against them. I have dusted a few proto's with the RR and I love the kill anime. They fly back and die. I do believe the ScR will do well if it stays away from the assault version of the CR, that is a beast when it comes to firing. It can burn through the ammo. The ScR against the RR I say who fires first and depends on range. Range I give RR but if its mid I would say again who fires first. Hope this helps.

Get Weird wrote:Good info. Though I'll still be going lvl 4 in each of them just to try them out.
I'm still downloading the patch, whatever the skill bonuses for each rifle? Kickback? Charge-up time for the RR?
Its 5% reduction to rifle kick for both per level. Also the RR does kick like a mule if its not skilled up. The CR not so much and if you played with the SMG its similar to it but with range.
I like both but the RR feels just right for me at this time. I have plenty of time to test both in all environments. So I will be updating this forum through out the day.

Cody Sietz wrote:So far I've noticed the non assault rail is not great for CQC, it still works just not as good as the other rifles it seems.
Haven't tried the Assault varients yet.
I am using the assault and it is by far the best, I only wish it had a scope in some cases. I have been getting really beat down by the ranged RR and the scary part people are using Sniper Rifles to counter us at the moment

Sorry, but it isn't clear to me, are you using the full auto combat rifle or the regular burst variants?
I used both. The burst does not burn thru ammo as much as the assault. So I will edit my post TY for bring that up. I like the assault over the burst. But if you tap the trigger the burst fires almost as fast as the assault. Try it and tell me what you think.
